Unilever Ghana MD, Gladys Amoah resigns

The Managing Director of Unilever Ghana, Mrs. Gladys Amoah, has resigned from the company effective November 30, 2019.

Mr. Yaw Nsarkoh also resigned as a Non- Executive Director of the Board of Unilever Ghana Limited on the same day.

The company says the resignations have been duly communicated to the Ghana Stock Exchange in accordance with Regulation 40(i) of the Ghana Stock Exchange Listing Rules, 2006.

It is unclear why the two have left the company.

About Mrs. Gladys Amoah

Mrs. Amoah was appointed to the position a year ago on November 1, 2018.

Until that appointment, she was the Customer Development Director of Unilever Ghana. At the time, she took over from Mr. Ziobeieton Yeo, who had resigned from the company on November 1, 2018.

Mrs. Amoah was appointed Customer Development Director, Ghana, from November 1, 2016.

She has 20 years’ experience in Fast Moving Consumer Goods and held roles in both Customer Development and Marketing.

She also has experience in Foods, Out of Home (restaurant markets), Personal Care and more recently Homecare.

She joined Unilever in 2012 and was the Customer Marketing Director for Hygiene in South Africa and Personal Care Portfolio as Customer Marketing Director.
