Top African Leader to speak at the 10th MTN Business World Executive Breakfast Meeting

Ghana’s leading Telecommunications Company and Business World, Ghana’s foremost business magazine today announced that Fred Swaniker, CEO of African Leadership Academy and a top Leadership expert will be speaking at the 10th MTN Business World Executive Breakfast meeting.
The much anticipated event is scheduled to take place at the La Palm Royal beach Hotel on the 19th of December, 2013 at 8:30am on the theme: “Achieving Inspirational Leadership in Business”.

Fred Swaniker is a celebrated Ghanaian-born serial entrepreneur and founder of the African Leadership Academy- a World-class co-educational, residential boarding school in Johannesburg, South-Africa which recruits outstanding students from Africa and prepares them for leadership.

Fred Swaniker is a TED and Echoing Green Fellow. He was recently named by Forbes as one of the ten youngest and most powerful men in Africa. He is also the Co-founder of African Leadership Network (ALN) the premier community of young, dynamic and influential leaders in Africa. ALN aims to catalyze prosperity in Africa by celebrating and promoting entrepreneurship as the surest way for Africa to achieve prosperity, and strengthen relationships between leaders in Africa for greater intra-African trade, investment, and collaboration.

Fred Swaniker was singled out for praise by President Barack Obama, for using his expertise to help young Africans to develop their leadership skills during President Obama’s recent visit to South Africa. Fred holds an MBA degree from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business, where he was named an Arjay Miller Scholar, a distinction awarded to the top ten percent of each graduating class. Mr. Swaniker was also named as a ‘Young Global Leader’ by the World Economic Forum in August 2012.

Speaking on the choice of the theme Kofi Mangesi, CEO of Business World said, ‘Fred Swaniker is one of the brightest African minds of our time and it’s apt that he is speaking at the tenth edition of the executive breakfast series’.
