Accra will soon be host to one of the fastest growing hotel chains in the world when the Rezidor Hotel Group opens The Radisson Blu Hotel in 2013.
The hotel will add 168 rooms to the capital’s guest capacity.
The Radisson Blu Hotel, Accra, will be located in the heart of the business district of the Ghanaian capital; five walking minutes from the beach. Besides 168 guest rooms including 20 apartments ranging from 1 to 3 bedrooms, the property will offer a restaurant and 2 bars, 300 metres² of meeting space, a gym, and an outdoor swimming pool.

McLachlan further reveals “Our entry into Ghana’s capital city, Accra, follows our African strategy, which is to enter new countries with hotels in their capital cities with our core brand Radisson Blu first as we have done in hotels in Maputo, Mozambique, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, Lusaka, Zambia all expected to open during 2011. In addition we have hotels projects in Luanda, Angola; Kigali, Rwanda and Nairobi, Kenya.”
