Patrons laud 15th MTN Business World Executive Breakfast series

Patrons of the 15th MTN Business World Executive Breakfast series have lauded the event, describing it as very informative as well as educative.

This year’s edition saw renowned Ghanaian entrepreneur and Chairman of law firm, Oxford and Beaumont, Elikem Nutifafa Kuenyehia address various CEOs and heads of businesses on how businesses can leverage on Foreign Direct Investment (FDIs) in order to grow their businesses.

The two hour forum, which took place at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel on June 18, 2015, provided professionals and entrepreneurs with invaluable shared knowledge and networking opportunities.

Amongst other things, Elikem discussed the kind of investment climate needed, at the national level, to attract FDIs, the expectations of foreign companies and whether Ghanaian businesses are well positioned to meet those expectations, as well as what needs to be done to create an ecosystem that will promote international Joint Ventures between Ghanaian and foreign companies.

“It was very eye-opening. I learnt a lot”, one patron, who was interested in setting up a new venture in the country opined.

Elikem is a non-executive director of Metropolitan Insurance Company Limited, Google Ghana Limited and Chase Petroleum Ghana Limited. He is also a member the Law Society of England & Wales and the Ghana Bar Association. In addition, he is an adjunct lecturer at the Ghana Institute of Management & Public Administration (GIMPA) where he teaches Entrepreneurship.

 

In 2012, he was named by Forbes and CNBC as “West Africa Young Business Leader of the Year” and named one of Africa’s next generation leaders by the Africa Leadership Network.

 

In 2010, he was named a Young Global Leader by the World Economic Forum. He is one of ‘Africa’s 40 under-40 Achievers by named by The Network Journal in 2010. He also received the Millennium Excellence Awards’ Young Professional of the Year Award in 2006.
