Goldkey Telecoms has submitted a formal request to the National Communications Authority (NCA) to extend their deadline for start of operations.
Goldkey Telecoms, along with Surfline Telecoms and Blu Telecoms were issued 4G LTE network licenses earlier this year by the Authority to begin operations before the end of November this year or lose it.
Surfline and Blu have begun operations.
Goldkey has requested the NCA give it another three months to begin operations. A request, the Authority says, is being reviewed after which a decision will be made.
Meanwhile a fully owned Ghanaian company Broadband Home Limited has also been issued with a 4G license.
