Global Investment Community to Converge in Accra for Ghana Investment Summit

GHANA INVESTMENT SUMMITGhana Investment Summit 2017, a major gathering of investors, entrepreneurs and corporate executives across the globe is scheduled to take place in Accra at the Kempinski Hotel Gold Coast City from 20th – 22nd August 2017

The summit organised in partnership with the Ministry of Finance, Ghana Investment Promotion Centre (GIPC) and select global investment banks on wall street is set to discuss investment opportunities in Ghana focusing on key sectors such as financial services, technology, consumer goods and services, energy and Agribusiness.

With over 300 attendees expected from around the world, the summit is set to showcase Ghana as Africa’s premier investment hub. The Meeting also seeks to provides the opportunity for one-on-one investor meetings with high growth Ghanaian business and, attract strategic and development funding for key government projects.

Commenting on the summit, Ghana’s Finance Minister, Ken Ofori-Atta, a former investment banker himself said the objectives of the Summit are “aligned with the economic agenda of President Nana Akufo-Addo’s administration, which is determined to restore Ghana’s fiscal health, boost confidence in the economy as well as drive growth and job creation across the private sector.”

He added “the Ministry of Finance is therefore proud to endorse the Summit.”

Several key international Business executives have confirmed to speak at the summit including Goldman Sachs, Mara Group, MTN Group, J.P. Morgan, Skadden Arps, Scania, Renaissance Capital and LeapFrog Investments among others.

In addition, 30 pre-screened, growth-oriented Ghanaian businesses have been invited to present before investment panels consisting of venture capitalists, private equity investors and hedge fund managers.
