Allied oil tops cheapest oil price rankings

Allied Oil has been adjudged the best Oil Marketing Company (OMC) offering the best price for diesel and petrol at the pumps.

This is according to the Chamber of Petroleum Consumers. In all ten oil marketing companies were surveyed.

Allied placed number one with the best price at the pumps while SO Energy placed last as the oil marketing company with the highest price at the pumps in the sale of petrol and diesel.

According to the report Allied oil topped the chart because its clients paid 2 cedis 663 pesewas for a litre of petrol and 11 cedis 98 pesewas for a gallon the lowest figure in the industry currently.

While a gallon of diesel is being sold for 11 cedis 54 pesewas and a litre at for 2cedis 565 pesewas.

Petrobay placed second on the list.

You will need 2 cedis 670 pesewas to buy a litre of pertol there or 12 cedis 2 pesewas for a gallon of petrol.

Star oil follows at number three while state run oil marketing firm Goil comes in at number four with the lowest price at the pumps.

Total and Shell come in at number  and 6 respectively.

Meanwhile Petrosol and Glory oil occupy the 7th and 8th position respectively.

Frimps oil comes in at number nine its customers have to pay 12 cedis 47 pesewas for a gallon of petrol and 12 cedis 15 pesewas for a gallon of diesel.

Meanwhile SO Energy which offers the highest rate at the pumps according to the survey charges its customers 12 cedis 60 pesewas for a gallon of petrol while its customers who buy diesel must dish out 12 cedis 25 pesewas for a gallon of diesel.
