Africa Marketing Awards: Nana Efua Rockson Wins “Woman PR Professional 2018”

 

The Group Head, Corporate Affairs & Marketing of GLICO Group Ltd, Nana Efua Rockson has been adjudged the “Woman PR Professional of the Year 2018” at the African Marketing Awards (AMA).

The event, held at the Movenpick Hotel, saw various marketing and communications professionals being recognized.

Mrs. Rockson was crowned for her role and dedication in sustaining the GLICO brand.

She happens to be the only insurance professional to be awarded at the ceremony. GLICO Group Ltd was adjudged the “Ghana Insurance brand of the year 2018” at the ceremony.

She joined GLICO in 2012 at a time when the GLICO brand had undergone diversification from a single life insurance company to a Group status with six subsidiaries.

The arduous task for management at that time was how to sustain the once glorious brand as a life insurance business which has flourished into a group of companies.

With her extensive experience and education garnered from working at various media and advertising companies such as Media Magique & Research Systems (MMRS), ADS Advertising Ltd, Emerge Advertising Ltd, as well as heading Marketing and Communications functions at Allure Ghana Ltd and SOS Children’s Villages Ghana, Nana Efua committedly and consistently has lead GLICO on a trajectory of being one of the best known insurance brands in Ghana.

GLICO now and has always stood for financial support, prompt claim payment, professional customer service, innovative products and as the tagline goes, “we cushion you for life.”

She has also recently completed a diploma in Insurance at the Ghana Insurance Institute. She is a member of CIM-UK, CIM-UK Ghana and CIMG. She is also an affiliate member of the Institute of Public Relations Ghana (IPR).

In an interview, Nana Efua said It is been a tough journey re-building and sustaining the GLICO brand over the past seven years.
