Tigo and Airtel now AirtelTigo

The second largest telecom operator in Ghana has rebranded as Airtel Tigo, following a merger between Tigo and Airtel.

Airtel Tigo will now control 22 percent market share of the telecom industry in Ghana after the National Communications Authority recently approved the merger.

The CEO of Airtel Tigo, Madam Roshi Motman speaking to the workers after announcing the new brand name also announced the new executive members of the company.

“He joins us from Airtel Indian, please help me welcome Mufti Shaban as the new Chief Operating Officer, From Airtel Ghana, please help me welcome Kwame Annor who will take care of the human resource in the company. Bright Owusu Bempah will bring the money, let’s welcome him…”

Madam Motman stated that Airtel Tigo will use technology to improve the network as it provides quality service to its cust,omers.

“As you can see, we now Bigger, Better and Stronger with 22 percent Market share. It means that will play an important part in the industry and serve our customers with quality and better service,”
