Surfline restores service, rewards customers with free 8GB data

Ghana’s first 4G LTE network, Surfline is rewarding all its customers with 8GB of data in appreciation for their patience and support after its two week network outage.

Customers who had data balance before the network outage will also have their balance restored and its validity period extended for 14 days.

This was contained in a series of tweets sent out by the network on Monday, February 16, 2015.

Fire destroyed key components in a room housing their data centre, causing a complete blackout to the network since February 1st.

Engineers working around the clock have returned the system to full capacity and full service has been restored.
