Steve Kpordzih appointed MD of Construction Bank

The former boss of the Agricultural Development Bank (ADB) Steve Kpordzih is heading to Construction Bank as its new Managing Director (MD).

Mr Kpordzih is expected to lead activities at the new Bank which opens its doors to the public on 30 May 2017.

The Construction Bank recently received a license from the Bank of Ghana to operate as a Universal Bank.

Officials of the Bank say even though they would operate as a Universal Bank, greater attention would be given to construction activities in the country.

Mr. Steve Kpordzih who wields an MBA from Leicester University was the Managing Director at Agricultural Development Bank from August 2009-2015.

Mr. Kpordzih has to his record immense banking experience and consultancy assignments with leading banks, including preparation of a paper on Financing Rural Agriculture in Ghana as part of the Government’s Compact Programme for accessing the US$547 million Millennium Challenge Account.

He also developed feasibility reports for the establishment of non-bank financial institution.
