Qatar Airways is expected to begin operations in Ghana from January 1st 2015.
This was announced by President John Dramani Mahama after the Group Chief of the Airline, Akbar Al-Baker called on the President during his 3-day state visit to Qatar.
According to Al-Baker, Africa had a vast amount of potential but structures put in place by most of its governments make it the world’s most under-served continent.
The Airline last year frowned upon Africa’s closed door policy on outside airlines and encouraged the continent to open up its skies.
