Kantanka vehicles now on sale

Three brands of vehicles manufactured by the Kantanka Automobile Manufacturing Company have been released onto the commercial market.

The vehicles, Kantanka Omama, Kantanka Onantefoↄ and Kantanka K71 are being sold at GH¢89,500, GH¢97,500 and GH¢78,500 respectively.

They are available for purchase in Accra, Kumasi and Takoradi.

 Proud to be Ghanaian

The visionary behind the local manufacture of the cars, Apostle Dr Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, said with satisfaction that “I am a Ghanaian and a proud one for that matter.”

He entreated Ghanaians to project the pride of Ghana and Africa as much as possible and also believe in the “can do” spirit.

He said as far back as 1979 when he began the Kristo Asafo Church, he had consistently preached the doctrine that the reliance on imports would not help the country.

The best that could be done, he said, was to import some crucial products as specimen, study them and use them as guides to manufacture some at the local level.

He said, he depended on local tools and materials in achieving what he had done, adding, “I believe in the saying that a journey of a thousand miles begins with a step.”

 Don’t discard your dreams

Apostle Safo encouraged Ghanaians with big visions and dreams not to discard them in the face of challenges and constraints but to keep trying and that their efforts would eventually be crowned with success.

He said, for now, the Kantanka Automobile Manufacturing Company would continue to import some crucial items from abroad but that would not continue for long.

The Chairman of the made-in-Ghana Steering Committee, Mr Kwabena Agyekum, urged Ghanaians to “buy Ghana and build Ghana.”

He said the government ought to patronise the vehicles and urged all Ghanaians to do same in order to create wealth locally.
