Dr. Kwabena Duffuor II appointed CEO of uniBank

Business World Ghana can confirm that the board of indigenous bank, uniBank has appointed Dr. Kwabena Duffour II as its new Chief Executive Officer.

A letter cited by Business World Ghana and signed by the Chairman of the Board of Directors, Mr. Opoku-Gyamfi Boateng stated that the appointment takes effect from the 1st of June, 2017.

Prior to his appointment Dr. Duffour II was the Chief Operating Officer of the bank.

His appointment is subject to the approval of the Bank of Ghana.

Dr. Duffuor II takes over from Mr. Felix Nyarko-Pong, whose tenure ends on the 1st of June 2017.

Dr. Duffuor II since rejoining the bank in 2012 as an Executive Director and Chief Operating Officer assisted the MD in leading the Management team.

He also helped the bank to attain its current enviable position within the banking fraternity.

Mr.  Nyarko-Pong has been the MD of the bank since June 2011.

About Kwabena Duffuor II

Kwabena Duffuor II holds a PhD in Finance, an Msc Banking and International Finance from Cass Business School, City of London, UK, and a degree in Economics and Mathematics from the University of Southampton.

He has over Nine years banking experience both locally and internationally.

He worked with Ghana International Bank Plc, uniBank (Ghana) Ltd and Standard Chartered Bank in various departments including, Retail Banking, Treasury Operations and Credit Risk Management.
