Deutsche Bank to host annual workshop

deutsche-bankDeutsche Bank, through its regional office in Lagos, Nigeria and supported by its London offices, will host the annual Deutsche Bank West African Global Transaction Banking Workshop, in Accra, Ghana, from March 24 to 28, 2014.

The workshop now in its fifth consecutive year, is held for banking participants from the whole of West Africa and covers a variety of subjects ranging from Compliance and Anti Money Laundering to International Trade Finance and Structured Trade and Export Finance.

‘We are delighted to again host this important annual event. Training and development are key themes within Deutsche Bank and we are pleased to be able to share our knowledge and experiences with bankers throughout West Africa,’ said Charles Weller, the Lagos-based Head of Deutsche Bank’s activities in West Africa.

The 2013 Workshop was held in Abuja, Nigeria and was attended by over 100 West African bankers. ‘We are confident that the seminar subjects, the Deutsche Bank lecturers and the participants will make the 2014 Workshop equally if not more successful’, said Oladapo Adeigbe, Senior Client Manager at Deutsche Bank in Lagos.

Germany’s Deutsche Bank has maintained a presence in Lagos, Nigeria since 1973 and is active in international payments, international trade finance and other banking services throughout West Africa, partnering with West African-based banks and multinational businesses.

Between 85 and 100 participants are expected to attend the one week workshop representing banks from Ghana, Nigeria, Benin, Burkina, Togo and Senegal.
