Delta Airlines suspends flights to Liberia

Delta-Air-LinesDelta Airlines has temporally suspended it’s operations in Liberia.

The suspension, which took effect from August 31st 2014, is due to weak passenger demand and not the Ebola outbreak, the airline said.

The suspension means its service between Monrovia to New York-JFK via Accra, Ghana will no more be available.

Passengers have already been informed of the decision.

Health ministers from Ecowas last week appealed to airlines which have pulled out from Ebola stricken countries to rescind their decision.

Delta which began operations in Liberia in 2010 says it is working to re-accommodate passengers impacted by this decision.
