Investment Advisory Services firm, C-NERGY Global Holdings in partnership with the Ministry of Finance and Economic Planning will organise the first ever Global Public-Private Partnership (PPP) conference at the Movenpick Ambassador Hotel in Ghana.

“The essence of the conference is to create a platform for practitioners in PPPs to engage with investors and countries that have done PPPs in the past and have been very successful; like South Korea, South Africa and the UK. These countries have implemented PPPs in a grand style. They have built bridges, airports, ports and massive road networks”, Director at C-NERGY Ghana, Michael Cobblah said.

The session, which will be under the theme, “Addressing Ghana’s Infrastructure Deficit: Moving from Policy to Implementation- the Public-Private Partnership Alternative” will seek to position Ghana as an attractive investment destination for PPPs.

“PPPs are an alternative way of financing public infrastructure projects so we want to create that platform where all the key players will engage and say “where do we go from here? What are the necessary steps?” then immediately after that, we start implementing those steps in order to achieve the results.

The World Bank and our bilateral partners have given so money for capacity development. We need to utilise those funds and make sure that we structure PPPs in a way that will make them bankable and attract other investors to come and put their money into the country”.

The event, which is scheduled from 18-21st August, 2014will see over 500 delegates from Ghana, Nigeria, Sierra Leone and Liberia among other countries.
