NPP Vice Presidential candidate, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia will on Tuesday address a public lecture on Ghana’s bailout programme with the International Monetary Fund.
The lecture is dubbed “The IMF Bailout: Will the Anchor Hold?”
He is expected to answer questions including “whether or not the IMF the bailout was inevitable, the conditions attached to the IMF bailout, the implications of the conditions and whether Ghana can abide by the IMF conditions in an election year.
The lecture is the 4th in a series of lectures organised by the Central University College under the school’s Distinguished Speaker Series.
The NPP Vice Presidential Candidate is currently a Visiting Professor of Economic Governance at the school. The Public lecture over the years has seen prominent personalities contributing to the market place of ideas in their areas of expertise.
The Distinguished Speaker Series according to the President of CUC, Professor Kwesi Yankah is to “provide a platform for distinguished individuals in Academia and Public life to share knowledge with Students, Faculty and the general public on issues of national and international significance”.
