13th Banking Awards rescheduled

The 13th edition of the Banking Awards has been rescheduled to November 1st due to “unanticipated challenges”, organisers, Corporate Initiative Ghana (CIG) have announced.

A release jointly signed by the Chief Host and Chairman of the Awards Planning Board, Nana Otuo Acheampong, and the Head of Programmes and Media of CIG, Mr Charles Benoni Okine, and issued in Accra, said “Members of the Technical Committee of the awards, made up of representatives of all the eligible banks and some sponsors, had been informed about the postponement at an emergency meeting held in Accra last Wednesday.”

It said, “CIG and its main collaborator, Graphic Communications Group Limited, remain committed to the awards and are working assiduously to ensure that the event comes off on the new date as announced.”

The statement sincerely apologised for the inconvenience caused to the public as a result of the change in the date.
